What Happened

Area authorities have information on a crash that killed a driver at I-45 in Rice, TX on October 10th, 2021. Officials say it happened around 9:57 p.m. A Nissan Murano headed northbound on I-45 is said to have taken an exit ramp at an unsafe speed before colliding with the rear of a disabled vehicle parked nearby. The vehicle rotated before hitting an exit sign and landing upright in the shoulder. Duran suffered fatal injuries in the accident. Responding officers allege that Duran may have been intoxicated at the time of the crash.
