What Happened

Pharr Police are investigating a crash that led to a fatality on Nolana Loop in Pharr, TX on August 19th, 2021. Police say it happened around 2 a.m. when a Hyundai passenger car operated by Christian Salazar collided with a GMC Terrain. A passenger in the Hyundai, 31-year-old Carlos Gonzalez, died in the crash. Salazar was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault.
