What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person involved at Eastex Freeway in Harris County, TX on October 15th, 2023. Police say the incident happened as a Ford Expedition headed eastbound on Little York Rd was struck by a northbound Chevrolet Impala at the intersection with Eastex Freeway. Police say the Ford overturned in the collision, ejecting an occupant from the vehicle. The occupant, identified as Carlos Perez, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Authorities allege the other driver Miredia Guzman, did not display signs of impairment and that one of the two vehicles involved may have a run a red light.
