What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at Burnet Rd in Austin, TX on March 10th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 9:56 p.m. According to investigators, A Toyota Corolla operated by 30-year-old Carlos Rodriguez performed a lane change to overtake a slower moving vehicle before moving back into a left lane. It then took evasive action to avoid a stopped bus in the the lane before colliding with the rear of a stopped Dodge Caliber. The Dodge had reportedly been stopped as a tractor-trailer ahead blocked traffic lanes while attempting to reverse into a loading dock. The driver of the Dodge suffered minor injuries. Rodriguez suffered serious injuries.
