What Happened

Lubbock Police are investigating a crash that killed one person at Ave K in Lubbock, TX on September 29th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 12:04 a.m. According to investigators, an SUV and passenger car were involved in a collision that occurred under unclear circumstances. The driver of the SUV, identified as 19-year-old Carlos Sanchez-Luna, died at the scene.  Two additional people, identified as 19-year-old Dylan Burton and 19-year-old Alexandra Sigel, were hospitalized with serious injuries. Police say at least two others had injuries considered to be non-life-threatening in nature. Additional information was not immediately available.
