Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at US 79 in Leon County, TX on July 13th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 4:40 p.m. According to investigators, a Jeep Cherokee headed westbound is alleged to have lost control while traveling in rainy weather condition. Authorities say the vehicle crossed a center divider as a result and entered onto oncoming traffic and colliding with a GMC Acadia. Reports say the driver of the GMC, identified as 60-year-old Carmen Davis, was fatally injured. Additional information was not immediately available.
