Officials are saying the incident happened around 10:30 p.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Charger headed southbound on Valley Mills was nearing the Franklin Ave intersection. Reports claim the vehicle ran a red light at the intersection, colliding with a Chevrolet Equinox crossing at the intersection. The impact is said to have pushed the Equinox into a commercial truck in an adjacent lane before the Dodge allegedly fled the scene. Police say the driver of the Equinox, identified as 26-year-old Carmen Garcia, was seriously injured. Authorities did not have any additional information available.
