What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a woman t US 90 in Seguin, TX on November 4th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 5:39 a.m. A tractor-trailer operated by a 44-year-old Kyle, TX man was headed eastbound on US Hwy 90 when it is said to have attempted to make a u-turn. In the process of the turn, the truck is said to have become stuck while blocking both lanes of travel. An approaching Jeep Grand Cherokee then collided with the truck, killing the driver. The driver was identified as 81-year-old Carrie Lee Walker. The Kyle man, who had previously left the vehicle to retrieve help, was not injured. Responding officers suggested and/or issued charges of Obstructed License Plate, Impeding Traffic, Obstructed View Through Windshield and No Commercial Operator License When Required.
