What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at I-20 in Harrison County, TX on October 27th, 2022. Police are saying it happened around 4;33 p.m. Investigators believe commercial truck operated by a 34-year-old Monroe, LA man failed to control its speed as traffic was slowing. The truck collided with the rear of a Nissan Altima operate day 49-year-old Cassandra Morgan, pushing it from the road and into a guardrail. The truck also struck the rear of a tractor-trailer operated by a 44-year-old El Paso man. Morgan and the Monroe man were both seriously injured. The El Paso man was not injured. The Monroe man was cited for Failure to Control Speed.
