Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured three people at FM 2818 in College Station, TX on August 1st, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2:05 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford Mustang operated by 31-year-old John Jenkins was headed southbound on Harvey Mitchell Pkwy at an alleged high rate of speed prior to colliding with the rear of a Kia Optima. The occupants of the Kia, 43-year-old Cathy Ball and 24-year-old Colby Ball, suffered minor injuries. Jenkins was more seriously injured. Reports indicate charges for Driving While Intoxicated and Accident Involving Damage were recommended and/or issued against Jenkins.
