What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at FM 2524 in Brownwood, TX on June 15th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 1:07 p.m. According to investigators, a Toyota Camry operated by 49-year-old Robin Trammell was headed northbound on Austin Ave when it reportedly failed to yield row to an approaching Ford Explorer operated by 39-year-old Celena Mejia-Wilker. Both vehicles collided and Mejia-Wilker suffered serious injuries. Trammell suffered less serious injuries. Reports indicate a Driving While Intoxicated charge was recommended and/or issued.
