What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that injured a woman at Loop 410 in San Antonio, TX on June 6th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 9:15 a.m. A vehicle operated by 26-year-old Ceyana Rincon Farris had become disabled in a travel lane for unknown reasons. Farris exited the vehicle and was standing nearby as a tractor-trailer approached. The tractor-trailer reportedly attempted to brake and avoid the vehicle as its brakes locked up and it began to jackknife. It then struck the disabled vehicle, pushing it into Farris, who was seriously injured. A Good Samaritan reportedly stopped to help assist Farris until emergency services arrived.
