What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at State Hwy 29 in Liberty Hill, TX on April 30th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 10:09 a.m. A Chevrolet C1500 operated by 34-year-old Chad Ray Fields was at a stop intersection and pulled out to make a left turn, reportedly failing to yield to traffic. It turned into the path of a flatbed truck and both vehicles collided, the flatbed truck pushing the pickup truck across the road. Fields suffered fatal injuries in the collision while the other driver was not injured.
