What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at Elm St in Denton, TX on May 29th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 12:40 a.m. According to investigators, an Infiniti G37 operated by 28-year-old Charles Cobb was headed northbound on Elm St when it veered from the road onto a curbed median. From there, the vehicle struck a tree and rotated, striking a second tree before coming to a stop. A passenger in the vehicle, age 27, was seriously injured. Cobb was also seriously injured and hospitalized. Reports indicate an Intoxication Assault charge was recommended and/or issued against Cobb.
