Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a pedestrian at Seawall Blvd in Galveston, TX on June 7th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 3:02 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Malibu operated by a 39-year-old woman who was not identified was headed westbound on Seawall at the time. They allege the vehicle veered from the road for unclear reasons before crashing into a bus stop. An individual occupying the bench, identified as 43-year-old Charles Green Ray, was struck in the impact. Police say Ray had suspected serious injuries while the occupants of the Chevrolet were uninjured. Officers recommended and/or issued a charge of DWI and a charge of Intoxication Assault.
