Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at County Road 20 in Parmer County, TX on March 4th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10:16 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Tahoe operated by 46-year-old Charles Leal was headed southbound on County Rd 20 while fleeing police. The vehicle was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed before it veered from the road into a skid and into a barrow ditch before overturning. Leal was ejected from the vehicle and suffered serious injuries. Records indicate a Driving While Intoxicated charge was issued.
