What Happened

Azle Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at NW Parkway in Azle, TX on October 20th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8 a.m. According to investigators, a Jeep Cherokee and 18-wheeler were involved in a collision that occurred under unclear circumstances. Investigators say the Jeep collided with the rear of the 18-wheeler. The  37-year-old driver of the Jeep, identified as Charles Wesley Markum III, was taken to an area hospital with injuries he later died from. Additional information was not yet available.
