Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at FM 1948 in Washington County, TX on May 15th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 6:33 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado operated by 26-year-old Chase Crum was headed eastbound FM 1948 prior to losing control at a curve in the road. The vehicle went into a bar ditch and struck a fence a tree before rotating and overturning onto its left side, trapping Crum under the bed of the truck. Once extricated, Crum was hospitalized with serious injuries. Additional information was not available.
