What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a person at 11th St and Delaware St in Beaumont, TX on February 19th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2 a.m. A Nissan Rogue occupied by Chasity Lavine was headed westbound on Delaware St as a southbound Chevrolet Silverado approached. It then reportedly collided with the side of the Rogue, causing non-life-threatening injuries to Lavine. A passenger in the vehicle was more seriously injured. The driver of the Silverado, identified as Luke Paul, was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and reports indicate an intoxication assault charge was recommended and/or issued.
