Lubbock Police are investigating a crash that killed two people at 43rd St and 47th St in Lubbock, TX on March 29th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 2:08 a.m. According to investigators, a vehicle allegedly operated by 23-year-old Joshua Mendez was headed northbound before striking a motorcycle with two occupants. The occupants of the motorcycle, identified as 23-year-old Cheyanne Perez and 31-year-old Zackery Lowe, were fatally injured. Authorities say Mendez, who allegedly had minor injuries, was arrested on DWI and Unlawful Carry of a Weapon charges, reports say. Additional information was not immediately available.
