Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a child at I-40 in Potter County, TX on July 21st, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 9:41 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-250 operated by a 60-year-old driver was was eastbound before pulling into a south shoulder in the eastbound lanes. The vehicle was alleged attempting a u-turn before pulling into the path of an approaching Toyota Yaris. While the driver of the Toyota was not injured, according to police, an 11-year-old passenger had suspected serious injuries. Charges for Intoxication Assault and Turning When Unsafe were recommended and/or issued.
