Montgomery County Police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that injured a child at I-69 in Montgomery County, TX on August 8th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 7 a.m. According to investigators, a pickup truck with an attached roof ladder is said to have struck a wall in the shoulder. Officials say the roof rack and a toolbox in the truck went airborne before striking a nearby Honda Pilot. A child in the Honda was hospitalized in critical condition while a second child and the driver had less serious injuries. Also injured was a passenger in a construction truck nearby that struck a wall while attempting to avoid colliding with other vehicles after the initial incident.
