Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a child at Maple Ave and Grandview in Odessa, TX on June 12th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 11:17 p.m. According to investigators, a Lexus headed northbound is said to have collided with the rear of a Chevrolet Cruze stopped at a red light. A one-month-old child in the back seat of the vehicle suffered life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 19-year-old Nallely Mendoza, and a second child were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. The other driver, identifies as 36-year-old Daisy Cordero, was charged with Intoxication Assault, amongst other charges. Additional information was not immediately available.
