What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a boating accident that injured a child at Lake Nasworthy in San Angelo, TX on July 4th, 2021. Police say the incident happened when a 9-year-old child fell from the front of a boat and was struck by the propellor. Police say the driver of the boat, identified as 30-year-old Jose Alvarado, was intoxicated a the time and issued an Intoxication Assault with a Vehicle charge. The 9-year-old was taken to an area hospital in stable condition.
