What Happened

Police are investigating a crash that injured a child at US 82 in Lamar County, TX on September 26th, 2024. Officials say the incident happend around 6:55 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Malibu is alleged to have traveled around a stopped school bus allowing children to exit. In the process, reprots say the vehicle struck a 9-year-old child approaching the bus. Officials say the child was seriously injured while the the driver of the vehicle was charged with Failure to Stop for School Bus and DWLI.
