What Happened

Tennessee Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a man at Couchville Pike Rutherford County, TX on October 18th, 2024. Police say the incident happened when the boom arm attached to a westbound log truck veered into oncoming traffic. Reports say the arm swung into the path of an eastbound Nissan Versa, striking the vehicle and causing it to lose control and crash into a nearby driveway. Officials say a 2-year-old boy in the Nissan was killed. 21-year-old driver, Navaeh Payne and 25-year-old passenger, Deqwuan White, were both seriously injured. Police say the driver of the log truck, identified as 61-year-old Christopher B. Holloway, alleged faces charges that include Vehicular Homicide, Aggravated Assault and Tampering with Evidence.
