What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a child at Caspian Dr and Lasater Rd in Dallas, TX on January 4th, 2024. Officials say the incident happened around 8:40 a.m. According to reports, an SUV was allegedly seen been witnesses traveling at a high rate of speed prior to veering from the road and crashing. Reports allege officials were told an argument occurred in the vehicle between the driver and one of the passengers before the steering wheel was grabbed, leading to the crash. The incident left a 12-year-old passenger with fatal injuries at the scene. The driver, who sources allege was 12-year-old, as well as two other passengers, ages 11 and 12, were all hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. Additional information was not available.
