Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a child at Cedar Bayou Lynchburg Rd in Harris County, TX on July 2nd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 1:04 p.m. According to investigators, a GMC passenger vehicle operated by Ricardo Rodriguez is alleged to have been traveling at a high rate of speed prior to losing control. The vehicle is said to have veered from the road before entering into a ditch. Once there, the vehicle overturned and hit a utility pole. A child in the vehicle suffered fatal injuries at the scene. Police allege Rodriguez was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash and moved to file Felony Murder charges. Additional information was not immediately available.
