Texas Department of Public Safety officials have information on a collision that killed a child at FM Loop 374 in Palmview, TX on December 31st, 2024. Police say it happened around 8:49 p.m. as a 5-year-old child was allegedly crossing the roadway under unclear circumstances. Reports claim the child was struck by a Buick Envista, allegedly operated by 25-year-old Lizbeth Samantha De La Cruz Gonzalez. Reports further allege Gonzalez was intoxicated at the time of the collision, which left the child seriously injured.
