What Happened

Wise County Police say a teen has been arrested in connection with a crash at Hwy 287 in Rhome, TX on December 19th, 2021. Officials say a vehicle operated by 18-year-old Christopher Fowler was reportedly headed in the wrong direction on Hwy 287 before it collided with a Toyota Camry occupied by a family. A 5-year-old child in the vehicle died while a 14-year-old was hospitalized with serious injuries. Fowler was arrested faces three felony charges in connection with the collision, including manslaughter and two counts of accident involving injury or death.
