What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a child at I-45 near West Gulf Rd in Harris County, TX on March 3rd, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 8:05 p.m. Reports indicate a Ford F-350 and Toyota Sienna were involved in a collision that occurred under unclear circumstances. It was alleged the Ford colliding with the rear of the Toyota prior to fleeing the scene. The Toyota allegedly followed the Ford before they collided at the intersection with West Rd, causing the Toyota to strike a nearby control box. Authorities say a child and adult male were injured and taken to an area hospital. The child, age 3, passed away from her injuries several days later.
