What Happened

Authorities in Gaines County, TX, are investigating a four-vehicle crash that occurred on March 27, 2025, at approximately 6:45 a.m. at the intersection of FM 181 and FM 303. Investigators say a Jeep Wrangler was traveling southwest and slowing to make a left turn when it was rear-ended by a Chevrolet Cruze that failed to control speed. The impact caused the Jeep to spin and strike a Chevrolet 3500 pickup, which was stopped at the intersection The 31-year-old driver of the Jeep, identified as Christina Loeppky, was ejected from the vehicle, suffering fatal injuries. The 29-year-old driver of the Chevrolet Cruze and a child passenger sustained possible injuries. No other injuries were reported.  Additional information was not available.
