Authorities have information on a crash that injured a driver at US 271 in Upshur County, TX on September 16th, 2024. Officials are saying the incident happend around 9 p.m. Officials say a northbound Toyota Highlander allegedly performed an unsafe u-turn, entering into the path of a second Toyota Highlander. The vehicles collided, the impact leaving the driver of the second Toyota, identified as 54-year-old Christine Anderton, with non-life-threatening injuries. The other driver, identified as 53-year-old Mark Tietz, was allegedly seriously injured. Sources indicate a Turned When Unsafe charge was recommended and/or issued.
