Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 290 in Elgin, TX on June 5th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 4:42 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Equinox operated by 47-year-old Christine McNulty was traveling westbound on US 290 when it reportedly failed to stop at a red light traffic arrow and turned into the path of a Toyota SUV operated by 50-year-old Maria Cruces. A passenger in the SUV suffered minor injuries while Cruces was evaluated for possible injuries. McNulty was seriously injured. Additional information was not immediately available.
