Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-20 in Martin County, TX on February 24th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 12:57 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by a 24-year-old Sunnyvale, CA man was headed eastbound on I-20 at a speed believed to be unsafe when it lost control on the icy roads and jackknifed, blocking travel lanes. A second tractor-trailer operated by 37-year-old Christino Nino Rodriguez collided with the truck, causing serious injuries. The other driver was not issued and cited for traveling at an unsafe speed.
