What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a person at I-10 in Harris County, TX on August 15th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 5:45 a.m. A motorcycle operated by 25-year-old Christopher Favela was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on I-10 as it approached a Nissan Sentra operated by 27-year-old Stephanie Franco. The motorcycle reportedly failed to control its speed and collided with the rear of the Sentra, ejecting Franco from the vehicle. Favela suffered fatal injuries. Franco was treated for minor injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
