What Happened

Authorities have information on a crash that killed a driver at  County Rd 426 in Cooke County, TX on January 30th, 2022. Police believe the incident happened around 4:07 a.m. According to their investigation, A Ford F-250 operated by a 17-year-old Muenster teen was headed westbound on County Rd 426 while a Chevrolet Silverado operated by 21-year-old Christopher Kresge was headed eastbound. The vehicles approached at the crest of a hill and collided head-on before the Silverado caught fire. Investigators suspect both vehicles failed to give half the road while traveling to create the collision. They also allege both drivers were under the influence of alcohol at the time. The Muenster teen was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. Kresge suffered fatal injuries.
