Area authorities have information on a collision that killed a pedestrian at Padre Blvd in South Padre Island, TX on June 26th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 12:32 a.m. According to investigators, a BMW 328 operated by a 17-year-old driver was headed southbound before striking a pedestrian, allegedly at a non-crosswalk area. The pedestrian, identified as 52-year-old Christopher Piercy, was killed in the collision. The teen and his passengers were uninjured and officers recommended and/or issued an Intoxication Manslaughter charge.
