What Happened

A motorcycle was involved in a crash that left its driver dead at FM 1252 in Smith County, TX on March 8th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 12:30 a.m. According to investigators, a motorcycle operated by 41-year-old Christopher Reed was headed westbound on FM 1252, approaching a curve in the roadway. Police say the vehicle lost control while taking the curve, veering from the road as a result into a tree line. The bike went into a barrow ditch, hitting a tree and caused Reed to be thrown from the vehicle. The crash left Reed with fatal injuries at the scene. Additional details were not provided.
