What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed two people at US 290 in Houston, TX on February 10th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 11:01 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado operated by 28-year-old David Roque Tijerina was headed eastbound on US 290 when it reportedly disregarded a stop and go signal and collided with a Honda Civic operated by 25-year-old 25-year-old Adam James Phillips. The impact caused the Silverado to overturn and the Honda to hit a nearby curb and pedestrian light. A passenger was ejected from the Silverado, identified as 23-year-old Cindy Alondra Vasquez, and suffered fatal injuries. Phillips also suffered fatal injuries in the collision.
