What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a woman at County Rd 17 and US 60 in Parmer County, TX on December 11th, 2023. Police say the incident happened round 6:50 a.m. Investigators say a tractor-trailer headed northbound on County Rd 17 came to a stop at the stop sign for the US 60 intersection.  At the same time, a Chevrolet Cruze operated by 30-year-old Cinthya Guerrero was westbound on US 60. Reports allege the tractor-trailer ventured into the eastbound lanes, entering into a crossover in a median to make a westbound turn. Officials say the truck failed to yield in the process striking the Chevrolet in the process. Guerrero suffered fatal injuries in the incident. Additional information was not immediately available.
