What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that resulted in two deaths at Freeport Pkwy in Coppell, TX on December 29th, 2022. Police say it happened around 7:19 p.m. Investigators are saying a Honda Accord operated by an unnamed 20-year-old Dallas man was headed northbound at time. Headed eastbound on Bethel Road was a BMW 530 operated by 45-year-old Riyanto Ginting. Police believe the Honda disregarded a red light and collided with the BMW at the intersection. Two passengers in the BMW, identified as 41-year-old Claudia Olga Hendrata and 69-year-old Sisilia Lilyana Widjaj, were both killed. Two child passengers, ages 10 and 12, were seriously injured as was Ginting. The Dallas man was reportedly not injured. Additional information was not available.
