What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a collision that killed a woman at Hwy 90 and Pioneer Estates in San Antonio, TX on February 9th, 2022. Police say a dump truck was pulling out of the Pioneer Estates subdivision onto the westbound lanes of Hwy 90 when it was struck in the rear by a Toyota RAV4. The woman driving the Toyota was ejected in the impact and suffered fatal injuries at the scene. She was later identified as 28-year-old Claudia Viramontes. Additional details were not available.
