Authorities are investigating a crash that injured three people at US 59 in Bowie, TX on June 15th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 4:36 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado C2500 headed southbound on US 59 allegedly ran a red light at the intersection with FM 2148. There, reports say the vehicle collided with a Chevrolet Silverado traveling on a green light. Officials say the driver of the second Silverado, identified as 24-year-old Clayton McDaniel, was seriously injured. His 22-year-old passenger was also seriously injured, reports say, while the driver of the C2500 had minor injuries. Sources indicate a Disregarding Signal-RedTraffic Light charge was recommended and/or issued against the driver of the southbound Silverado.
