Amarillo Police are investigating a crash that killed a man at Soncy Rd and Legend Ave in Amarillo, TX on January 3rd, 2025. Police say the incident happened around 9:37 p.m. According to investigators, a Ram 2500 headed southbound on Soncy Rd is alleged to have veered into a northbound traffic while attempting to avoid rear-ending a Ford Escape. Officials say the driver of the Ford, identified as 35-year-old Clebson Roberto Hillario Da Silva, was fatally injured. Two passengers were hospitalized with serious injuries. The other driver, identified as 29-year-old Carlos Coronado, was arrested and allegedly charged with Intoxication Manslaughter and Intoxication Assault. Additional information was not available.
