What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 281 in Jim Wells County, TX on May 6th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2:38 p.m. According to investigators, a Toyota Corolla operated by 30=year-old Cody McCutchen was headed northbound prior to veering from the road and losing control. It struck a fence and poweline pole before going airborne and rolling several times. McCutchen was seriously injured in the accident. Officers allege that witnesses at the scene that assisted with rendering aid to McCutchen prior to their arrival informed them alcoholic beverages were found in and around the vehicle.
