Area authorities have information on a collision that injured a driver at Hwy 63 in Jasper, TX on September 28th, 2021. Police say the incident happened when a GMC delivery truck began to slow down to make a left turn. It was struck by a logging truck that failed to control its speed. The delivery truck was hit in the rear while the logging truck veered from the road and overturned. The driver of the logging truck, 38-year-old Colby Merriman, was hospitalized with minor injuries. The other driver, 25-year-old Cody Brister, was not injured.
