Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a man at US 59 in Harrison County, TX on August 28th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 5:35 p.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by a 26-year-old woman was southbound. At the same time, a Dodge Ram 1500 operated by 24-year-old Colby Ray Taylor was northbound. Investigators allege that as the tractor-trailer was attempting a turn onto FM 1186, the vehicle turned when unsafe, leading to the vehicle overturning into the path of the approaching Dodge. The collision left Taylor with serious injuries. The truck operator was not injured, according to police and sources indicate a Turned When Unsafe charge was recommended and/or issued.
