What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at US 90 in Houston, TX on August 16th, 2022. Officials are saying it happened around 6:19 p.m. Investigators say a Chevrolet Camaro operated by 58-year-old Byron Keith Winn was headed westbound on US 90. At the same time, a Honda Civic operated by a 36-year-old male was headed southbound on Normandy St. Police say the vehicles collided at the intersection and suspect both driver distraction and disregarding a stop and go signal as contributors to the crash. A passenger in the Camaro, identified 57-year-old Connie Rowe, suffered serious injuries. Winn was evaluated for possible injuries. Additional details were not available.
