Authorities have information on a crash that killed a driver at State Hwy 44 in Jim Wells County, TX in April 7th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 2:30 a.m. According to investigators, a westbound Volkswagen Jetta is said to have been negotiating a curve at State Hwy 44 before going into a skid and leaving the roadway. The vehicle is said to have overturned multiple times, leaving the 21-year-old driver, Cory Moreida,  fatally injured. A child passenger was allegedly uninjured.
